Conceived as the thinnest Spring Drive in the Grand Seiko catalogue, its 10.2mm profile has seen its popularity only rise since its release in 2021. But the GCLH995 Spring Drive - on offer today - was made by Credor almost two decades ago, and it clocks in at an Omiwatari-beating 9.1mm. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"_1qeIAgB0cPwnLhDF9XSiJM\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eThe Spring Drive.\u003c\/strong\u003e Not only does the absence of a rotor allow the watch to fit a more traditionally dressy profile, it also gives you an unobscured look at the manual wind Spring Drive powering the watch. The 7R88 calibre has been tastefully hand-finished - Geneva stripes run across its chamfered plates, and pinks, yellows and blues add interesting pops of colour. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"_1qeIAgB0cPwnLhDF9XSiJM\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eThe Design.\u003c\/strong\u003e While rippled circles provide a heavily textured backdrop, the dial itself is tonally muted, with the single instance of colour coming from its thermally-blued second hand. But Credor couldn’t resist a thematic flourish. The 2, 4 and 7 - or 24\/7 - serve as a poetic reminder of life’s ceaseless flow of time. The never-ending march forward, relying on your ability to make every second count. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"_1qeIAgB0cPwnLhDF9XSiJM\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eThe Finish.\u003c\/strong\u003e As is typical for a Credor, both the case and hands have been Zaratsu polished to perfection. Pleasingly, the 2, 4 and 7 have received the same treatment. Their mirror-like surface allows them to playfully reflect the hands back up at you throughout the day.
