Each hand is given its own little corner - supposedly making reading the time faster and easier. That’s the beauty of a Regulator. As there’s no zonal overlap between the hands, your brain can read the shape of the dial instantly, without any risk of confusing an hour hand with a minute hand. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"_1qeIAgB0cPwnLhDF9XSiJM\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eThe Man.\u003c\/strong\u003e Louis Erard is perhaps most commonly known for its bold partnership with Alain Silberstein.They created one hell of a watch, and I personally suspect will age incredibly well with collectors. But the Louis Erard on offer today is a solo effort, which makes it interesting to view as a pre-collaboration palate cleanser. The differences are immediately obvious.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"_1qeIAgB0cPwnLhDF9XSiJM\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eThe Hands.\u003c\/strong\u003e Gone are the explosive primary colours, instead replaced with a high-contrast colour palette that prioritises clarity. And to further reinforce the Regulator layout, not only have the hands been physically separated but each one also has its own visual identity:\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cul\u003e\n\u003cli class=\"_1qeIAgB0cPwnLhDF9XSiJM\"\u003eThe hour reveals itself through a recessed semicircle\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli class=\"_1qeIAgB0cPwnLhDF9XSiJM\"\u003eThe second hand is shown against a classic sector subdial\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli class=\"_1qeIAgB0cPwnLhDF9XSiJM\"\u003eThe power reserve utilises an open disc display\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eAnd the minute hand is… just a minute hand\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003c\/ul\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"_1qeIAgB0cPwnLhDF9XSiJM\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eThe Design.\u003c\/strong\u003e Thanks to the varying textures and shapes, the results are surprisingly playful for a black and white watch.
