The Collaboration. Over the last three decades, Seiko and Studio Ghibli have collaborated on dozens on watches, but few are as well thought out and put together as their 10 Year Anniversary "My Neighbor Totoro" Watch. It was created to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of the film's release, and much like the film, its design can be enjoyed by adults and children alike.
The Film. I must admit, I’m not a Ghibli aficionado but the handful of films I have watched with my daughter have been magical - every one she’s seen has made its way into her favourite films of all time list. My Neighbor Totoro undoubtedly reigns supreme, with my daughter heart-breakingly saying, “Daddy, why do my tears feel happy?” as the credits rolled after her first viewing.
The Wood Spirit. Totoro is not only beloved by audiences both young and old, but Miyazaki, the studio’s founder, was so proud of his creation that Totoro ended up becoming the production logo for Studio Ghibli - so it’s only fitting for the kind-hearted wood spirit to be front and centre on both dials. The watch has various subtle nods to the film, with a decorated caseback and Totoro's paw print stamped into the bezel.
The Box. Rarely are boxes worth talking about, but the wooden box with dark green felt inlay is spectacular, especially when you consider the ACAM003 retailed for the paltry sum of $165 at the time. It even includes a 10th Year Anniversary badge!

Condition: In great condition overall. No marks of any major significance, although the leather strap is worn.

What condition are your watches?
Due to the vintage and neo-vintage nature of the watches we typically sell, the condition varies from watch to watch. However, our photos are high resolution and our descriptions are accurate. You can buy with confidence knowing there won't be any nasty surprises.
If the condition of a watch is ever misrepresented, we would offer a full refund.
Are all of your watches serviced?
Most but not all of our watches are serviced. The "Condition" section of each watch will confirm if the watch has been serviced.
All of our watches are tested by an independent watchmaker - if a service is needed, the watch will be serviced. If a service hasn't been conducted, it's because the watch itself is too new to need a service, or there is evidence of a recent service.

Do I have to pay customs or taxes?
It depends on so many factors, including but not limited to the cost of the watch, the type of watch you've bought (vintage or new), and the import laws of your country. If you're unsure we recommend checking the import laws that relate to your country before ordering.
Are your watches water resistant?
Our serviced watches are typically tested to their original water resistant specifications, but we would never recommend pushing vintage or neo-vintage watches to their depth limits.
What is your returns policy?
Due to the vintage and neo-vintage nature of most of our watches, we do not offer returns under normal circumstances. All sales should be considered final.
