"Black Waves" 18k Gold Seiko Mod
"Black Waves" 18k Gold Seiko Mod
A timeless Seiko mod. The limited edition white seascape dial makes for an elegant golden dress watch.
Features:
A Limited Edition “Black Sea & Sky” Dial. The laser etched sun and clouds reveal the gold-plated surface beneath, and black “Seigaiha” waves cover the bottom half of the dial. A subtle snow-covered Mt Fiji can be seen to the left of the pinion. While it might not seem as though there are any obvious dial markers, all 12 are accounted for! The 12 o’clock is marked by the seagull, the 10, 11 and 2 o'clock markers are represented by clouds, and the 1 o’clock cuts through the exact centre point of the sun. The 3 and 6 o’clock are denoted by the Kanji characters for Sea and Sun. 4, 5, 7, and 8 o’clock are covered by the white waves, and the gold dial marker is 6 o’clock.
Golden Case. 37.5mm in size, and very elegant. Perfectly matches the dial in style and finish. Through the crystal case back is Seiko's decorated and golden NH71 movement. It's a visual upgrade
The Strap. Soft black leather with a matching golden buckle.
The Movement. Automatic Movement. Housed inside this Japanese powerhouse of a movement are 24 Jewels, 41 hours of power reserve, 21,600 bph, and a bi-directional automatic rotor. Based on immensely popular NH35 workhorse movement by Seiko, this is Seiko's decorated and golden NH71 skeletonised movement. Famously reliable, sturdy and easy to service. Does not require a yearly service (recommended every three or more).
The Crystal. A Top Hat sapphire crystal with a clear anti-reflective coating. Gives the watch body a very vintage dress watch finish.
The Precision. Buy with confidence knowing your watch movement has been regulated to +/- 5 seconds per day

The NH movement series by Seiko is a reliable automatic movement with optional manual winding and second hacking. It supports date, day-date and GMT functions as showcased by the different styles of watches in my shop. Please note, while I may use Seiko parts in my custom watches, I am not affiliated with Seiko in anyway and these watches are not official Seiko releases. These are beautifully hand-crafted and originally designed modified Seikos using Seiko's official NH movement series.
Delivered in a beautiful custom stamped (Provenance Watches) leather travel case. Makes for a perfect gift.
