The Theme. Cherry blossoms mark the arrival of spring, a season of new beginnings and rebirth. Their short lifespan, blossoming for just a couple of weeks, serves as a powerful reminder of the transience of life and the importance of cherishing each moment. This symbol of renewal and fleeting beauty draws tourists from all around the globe to a pink Japan, blushing with life.
The Impact. This year’s cherry blossom season in Japan is projected to generate $9 billion in tourism revenue - a staggering 22% increase from last year. To put that in perspective, London’s 2012 Olympics, which was deemed a huge success for the capital city, brought in an estimated $3.5 billion from tourism. Simply put, pink Japan = big deal.
The Dial. The dial itself blends embossed details with 20k gold-plated accents, paired with the deep blues characteristic of Sometsuke, or Blue and White Porcelain. Every hour marker is accounted for, even if they're not immediately obvious. The golden blossoms along the minute track from 4 to 10 o’clock need no explanation, but the dial holds more subtle markers: the dark spots in the clouds are 11 and 1, the golden Japanese crane is 12, a Japanese wagtail marks 2, and finally, 3 is represented by the rising sun.
The Hands. Alpha hour and minute hands paired with a custom-designed Cherry Blossom second hand.
The Case. Golden, 37.5mm in size, polished all over, and dressy. The case houses a top hat box crystal (with anti-reflective coating) for a vintage look. Through the exhibition case back is Seiko's decorated and golden NH71 movement.
The Strap. Soft black leather with quick-release, and a matching golden buckle.
The Movement. The movement is a regulated and automatic NH71 (dateless movement) made by Seiko. I regulate to +/- 5 seconds per day or better. Its Geneva Wave rotor and brushed bridges are visually more interesting than the standard silver and undecorated NHXX silver movements.

The NH movement series by Seiko is a reliable automatic movement with optional manual winding and second hacking. It supports date, day-date and GMT functions as showcased by the different styles of watches in my shop. Please note, while I may use Seiko parts in my custom watches, I am not affiliated with Seiko in anyway and these watches are not official Seiko releases. These are beautifully hand-crafted and custom designed watches using Seiko's NH movement series.

FAQs
Are your watches authentic?
Everything we sell is 100% authentic.
All of our watches are inspected and verified for authenticity - both inside and out. We have over 15 years of sourcing and collecting rare watches in Japan, which is often considered to be one of the best markets for authentic and fully original vintage watches.
Do you ship globally?
We are based in Japan and regularly ship all over the world. We typically use FedEx and it takes:
- 3-7 business days to reach North America
- 3-7 business days to reach Europe
- 3-7 business days to reach Asia and Oceania.
All of our packages are securely shipped, fully insured, and trackable door-to-door.
What condition are your watches?
Due to the vintage and neo-vintage nature of the watches we typically sell, the condition varies from watch to watch. However, our photos are high resolution and our descriptions are accurate. You can buy with confidence knowing there won't be any nasty surprises.
If the condition of a watch is ever misrepresented, we would offer a full refund.
Are all of your watches serviced?
Most but not all of our watches are serviced. The "Condition" section of each watch will confirm if the watch has been serviced.
All of our watches are tested by an independent watchmaker - if a service is needed, the watch will be serviced. If a service hasn't been conducted, it's because the watch itself is too new to need a service, or there is evidence of a recent service.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept payment by all major Credit Cards and Wise.com
Do I have to pay customs or taxes?
It depends on so many factors, including but not limited to the cost of the watch, the type of watch you've bought (vintage or new), and the import laws of your country. If you're unsure we recommend checking the import laws that relate to your country before ordering.
Are your watches water resistant?
Our serviced watches are typically tested to their original water resistant specifications, but we would never recommend pushing vintage or neo-vintage watches to their depth limits.
What is your returns policy?
Due to the vintage and neo-vintage nature of most of our watches, we do not offer returns under normal circumstances. All sales should be considered final.
