Model: Kollokium Projekt 02 FFF&F Edition

Year: October 2025

Limited Edition: 199 Pieces

Features:

The Dial. 67 individual layers make up the Projekt 02’s topographical-style dial. Each one is hand-painted with a mix of lacquer and Super-LumiNova. Described by Kollokium’s founders as being Swiss Made Masochism - because no one sensible would voluntarily create a dial built from 67 hand-lacquered components that needs to be assembled like a jigsaw puzzle. But the juice is definitely worth the squeeze

The Crystal. Lume or not, this is a dial you’ll enjoy staring at. During the day, rotating your wrist will cast shadows across the face of the watch. While at night, you’re treated to something resembling a sonar map. Which brings us to the crystal. It’s a domed sapphire, with the emphasis on the domed part. Visually, it might take some getting used to, but at just over 12mm thick, the overall dimensions are very reasonable - and the fish tank aesthetic that’s created by the oversized dome ends up being wonderfully satisfying.

The Vision. The company has enjoyed continued success since its launch in 2020. It was co-founded by Manuel Emch, who not only oversaw the rebirth of Jacquet Droz (that I covered last year) but also the recent collaborations between Louis Erard and Alain Silberstein (that I covered this year). He’s clearly a man with a vision, so it shouldn’t have surprised anyone when he founded his own watch company after 20 years in the industry.

The Variant. Projekt 02 has produced two variants so far, with Variant B going up for general sale last month. It sold out immediately. The variant on offer today was the launch variant - limited to 199 pieces and reserved for F&F (Friends & Family) and owners of the Projekt 01. I’m not sure how or why one came up for sale at a vendor auction in Japan, but I’m glad it did - photographing it has been a real joy.

The Case. It’s too easy to get stuck talking about the dial, but the case itself carries the same intrepid spirit as the dial. Instead of the standard CNC milling approach, Kollokium die cast in 316L stainless steel. The results speak for themselves - no detachable lugs, caseback, or bezel. A true monobloc case with a finish that looks beautifully bead-blasted, thanks to the die casting process. The word unique gets tossed around a lot in the watch world, but I can use it here without hesitation: the Kollokium Projekt 02 is utterly unique.

  • 4-12 business days to reach Asia and Oceania.

All of our packages are securely shipped, fully insured, and trackable door-to-door.

Do I have to pay customs or taxes?

It depends on so many factors, including but not limited to; the cost of the watch, the type of watch you've bought (vintage, new, or modified), and the import and tax laws of your country. If you're unsure we recommend checking the import laws that relate to your country before ordering.

Are your watches water resistant?

All of our watch mods are tested by our own pressure depth testing equipment, and are guaranteed to resistant water up to 50m of depth. Seiko Originals have varied levels of depth resistance, which will be stated in the description of each watch.

Can I modify an existing design?

We welcome all ideas! Get in touch via the Contact Us page and we can let you know the possibility and cost of any potential alterations.

What is your returns policy?

Due to the hand-made nature of the Seiko Mods, we offer a 7 day returns period after the watch has been received. The returner must bear the cost of the returns, and the watch must be returned in the same condition as it arrived. We do not offer returns on any bespoke or custom-made watches.

Due to the vintage nature of the Seiko Originals, returns are considered on a case-by-case basis, as vintage items typically have a no returns policy.
