The Design. The 1F20-5J60 was the first Seiko designed by a woman. Sayoko Yamaguchi, an internationally renowned Japanese model and actress, was commissioned by Seiko in the ‘90s to work on a collection specifically designed for women, by women. The resulting watches were released under the Le Vent brand, and the collection later featured contributions from other Japanese fashion icons like Minako Yokomori.
The Gender. In recent years, the line between men’s and women’s watches has blurred, with enthusiasts increasingly valuing great design over gendered marketing. Look no further than the surge in popularity the Cartier Tank line has seen.
The Popularity. The entire Le Vent collection has since developed a cult following in Japan, but none sit higher on the grail podium than the SSKX006. As a result, I suspect this one will ultimately find its way back to a Japanese collector - one sold for ¥334,398 (around $2,200) at auction here just a few weeks ago - but I thought I’d give my international readers first refusal before listing it domestically.
Condition: In good condition overall. Various marks can be seen on the case, and the crystal has a handful of light scratches. Everything is visible in the photos, but don’t hesitate if you would like me to highlight any specific mark.

It depends on so many factors, including but not limited to; the cost of the watch, the type of watch you've bought (vintage, new, or modified), and the import and tax laws of your country. If you're unsure we recommend checking the import laws that relate to your country before ordering.
Are your watches water resistant?
All of our watch mods are tested by our own pressure depth testing equipment, and are guaranteed to resistant water up to 50m of depth. Seiko Originals have varied levels of depth resistance, which will be stated in the description of each watch.
Can I modify an existing design?
We welcome all ideas! Get in touch via the Contact Us page and we can let you know the possibility and cost of any potential alterations.
What is your returns policy?
Due to the hand-made nature of the Seiko Mods, we offer a 7 day returns period after the watch has been received. The returner must bear the cost of the returns, and the watch must be returned in the same condition as it arrived. We do not offer returns on any bespoke or custom-made watches.
Due to the vintage nature of the Seiko Originals, returns are considered on a case-by-case basis, as vintage items typically have a no returns policy.
