Seiko SARY169; "Tequila Sunset" Watch
Seiko SARY169; "Tequila Sunset" Watch
Seiko's contemporary Cocktail Time series features bright, glossy dials reminiscent of colourful cocktails. Inspired by Japanese cocktail culture in Tokyo's Ginza district, each watch is named after a specific cocktail. The tradition of "nomunication hour" - a hybrid of nomu (drink) and communication - is all about ending the working day with a cocktail and a chat, and each timepiece named after drinks mixed by Hisashi Kishi, head barman and owner of the Star Bar in Tokyo's Ginza district. Given the proximity of Seiko's head office to the Star Bar, one can only imagine how many watches were casually planned during nomunication hour.
Features:
The Theme. Designed by the head barman of the “Star Bar” in Tokyo, the heavily patterned “Tequila Sunset” dial pays homage to the texture you might find on a crystal-cut tumbler. The hour indices borrow their font from the labels of vintage liquor bottles found in the Star Bar. And to top it all off, the second hand is designed to look like a cocktail stirrer! Maximum points for consistently sticking to a theme.
Limited Edition. Numbered on the case back as 161/5000. It’s doesn’t really mean anything, but it’s nicer to have a lower number than a higher number!
Polished Steel Dress Case. Thin, sleek and with no visible wear. Perfectly juxtaposed against the mesh Milanese bracelet and heavily textured dial.
Original Milanese Bracelet. Extremely comfortable and easy to adjust.

All of our watch mods are tested by our own pressure depth testing equipment, and are guaranteed to resistant water up to 50m of depth. Seiko Originals have varied levels of depth resistance, which will be stated in the description of each watch.
