The Design. It features a deep blue, vitreous enamel dial (aka “true” enamel). It’s a well-rounded and thoughtfully designed dressy-daily watch by Seiko. High-contrast Roman Numerals for the hours with Arabic minute markers, glossy white hands, an oversized crown, and a richly blue crocodile leather strap - an obvious recipe for a timepiece that won’t ever feel dated.
The Enamel. There are various enamelling methods, but vitreous enamel is the sort of enamel you see in those fancy pocket watches from 1910 that look like they were made yesterday. Short of a clumsy repairman scratching it, the dial should look ageless for the next 100 years.
The Strap. To match the dial, it has a navy blue, crocodile stamped leather strap.
The Case. At 40mm wide, it sits beautifully on my wrist. I would describe it as the perfect “office watch”, smart but not oppressively so - just casual enough to make it look like you’re not trying too hard.
Condition: In great condition overall - no marks on the dial, hands or crystal. The the case has a a handful of hairline scratches, but not deep or offensive. The caseback is also marked with similar scratches.
Scope: No box or papers, so it will be packed in a secure leather travel case.
Movement: 6R15 automatic, 50 hour power reserve
