Seiko SARX059; Shippo Enamel Waves
Seiko SARX059; Shippo Enamel Waves
In 2018 enamel glazing master, Wataru Totani, worked with Seiko to produce 2500 SARX059 dials.
Model: Seiko SARX059 / 6R15-04E0
Year: 2019
Features:
The Dial. Each dial is hand-glazed by Wataru Totani, an enamel master craftsman based in Nagoya, Japan. Being an island nation, Japan has a strong connection with the sea and Seiko wanted to honour that connection with these watches. The radial waves on the dial are meant to represent the continuous motion of the sea waves that break all around Japan’s shores. The depths of blue are truly incredible. I often find myself saying this about Presage dials, but this level of dial craftsmanship won’t be found at this price point on any other watch.
Limited Edition. Limited to 2,500 and it sold out very quickly upon its release in 2019.
The Heritage. The SARX059 features the indices and minute track markers found on their 1895 Time Keeper Pocket Watch.
Condition: In good condition overall. It was just fully serviced by Seiko in Japan (March 2024) and is running at +4 seconds per day across three positions. The only obvious flaws are hairlines on the bezel, and some minor marks on the polished case back.
Scope: Full box and papers.
Movement: Seiko 6R15 Automatic

- Case Width: 40.0mm

It depends on so many factors, including but not limited to; the cost of the watch, the type of watch you've bought (vintage, new, or modified), and the import and tax laws of your country. If you're unsure we recommend checking the import laws that relate to your country before ordering.
Are your watches water resistant?
All of our watch mods are tested by our own pressure depth testing equipment, and are guaranteed to resistant water up to 50m of depth. Seiko Originals have varied levels of depth resistance, which will be stated in the description of each watch.
Can I modify an existing design?
We welcome all ideas! Get in touch via the Contact Us page and we can let you know the possibility and cost of any potential alterations.
What is your returns policy?
Due to the hand-made nature of the Seiko Mods, we offer a 7 day returns period after the watch has been received. The returner must bear the cost of the returns, and the watch must be returned in the same condition as it arrived. We do not offer returns on any bespoke or custom-made watches.
Due to the vintage nature of the Seiko Originals, returns are considered on a case-by-case basis, as vintage items typically have a no returns policy.
