Features:

The Dial. The Titanium dial is based on the iconic “Great Wave off Kanagawa” woodblock print by the Japanese Artist Hokusai, as part of his “Thirty-six views of Mount Fuji” collection. The dial is stunning, and I really dislike how unphotographable the effect is. While it might look painted, the colours are actually the result of using a fibre laser to anodise the titanium at different voltages, which results in subtle effects like each ray of the Sun capturing and reflecting the light in a slightly different colour. Anodising titanium isn’t perfect, so there might be tiny flecks of discolouration on the dial from certain angles. This is a natural part of the process, and not damage.

The Case. Brushed stainless steel in the classic Italian Navy/Panerai style, complete with a Provenance Watches case back. The crystal is a flat sapphire with blue-tinted anti-reflective coating. The lever is fully functional, as you would expect, and fits snugly against the case, ensuring water resistance (measured up to 50m by me, but rated to 100m by the manufacturer).

The Bezel. Omnidirectional brushed-steel Japanese numeral bezel – designed external indices for the dial, but also functions as a dual-time bezel.

The Crystal. 3mm thick, anti-reflective, blue coated, flat sapphire.

The Strap. A vintage style full-grain blue horse leather strap. It’s considerably more water resistance than cow leather, and much softer without requiring a breaking in period. I use this manufacturer’s straps in a lot of my personal collection/daily wears.

The Movement. A new NH38 Automatic movement regulated to +/- 5 seconds. The same as an NH35 movement by Seiko, but it doesn’t have a date wheel so there’s no annoying “ghost date” to worry about.

The Condition. Unworn, brand new.

Dimensions:

  • Lug to Lug: 52.0mm
  • Case Width: 42.5mm
  • Case Thickness: 12.0mm
  • Strap Width: 22mm

The NH movement series by Seiko is a reliable automatic movement with optional manual winding and second hacking. It supports date, day-date and GMT functions as showcased by the different styles of watches in my shop. Please note, while I may use Seiko parts in my custom watches, I am not affiliated with Seiko in anyway and these watches are not official Seiko releases. These are beautifully hand-crafted and originally designed modified Seikos using Seiko's official NH movement series.

Delivered in a beautiful custom stamped (Provenance Watches) leather travel case. Makes for a perfect gift.

    FAQs

    Do you ship globally?

Absolutely - our watches are regularly shipped all over the world. Shipping typically takes:

    • 4-9 business days to reach North America
    • 4-12 business days to reach Europe
    • 4-12 business days to reach Asia and Oceania.

All of our packages are securely shipped, fully insured, and trackable door-to-door.

Do I have to pay customs or taxes?

It depends on so many factors, including but not limited to; the cost of the watch, the type of watch you've bought (vintage, new, or modified), and the import and tax laws of your country. If you're unsure we recommend checking the import laws that relate to your country before ordering.

    Are your watches water resistant?

All of our watch mods are tested by our own pressure depth testing equipment, and are guaranteed to resistant water up to 50m of depth. Seiko Originals have varied levels of depth resistance, which will be stated in the description of each watch.

Can I modify an existing design?

We welcome all ideas! Get in touch via the Contact Us page and we can let you know the possibility and cost of any potential alterations.

    What is your returns policy?

Due to the hand-made nature of the Seiko Mods, we offer a 7 day returns period after the watch has been received. The returner must bear the cost of the returns, and the watch must be returned in the same condition as it arrived. We do not offer returns on any bespoke or custom-made watches.

Due to the vintage nature of the Seiko Originals, returns are considered on a case-by-case basis, as vintage items typically have a no returns policy.
